Is this a good wedding gift for a french lady in her 40s-50s who is getting married in Paris?

I don't want to carry anything heavy on the plane - i.e. no bottles of wine, or dinner sets. So, would a good gift be some tasteful french knickers (i.e. nothing embaring like a g-string), or some lacy boy leg panties. What do you think? or any other suggestions.
