Anyone know of a good book to read?

I recommend Terry Pratchett. His Discworld series is awesome parallel-universe fantasy, and it has something for everyone. Vampires pop up in a few of the books (particularly Cape Jugulum), as well as Gaspard the Wonder Dog who speaks Human.
