What's the meaning??

I don't know, maybe the song was written 5 years after something really bad happen. To me it sound like after 911, whoever sing is saying that he can get over what happen and everyday he hopes that he does,He want something to happen the end of the war, I don't know, that's how my drunky head is seen it right now.
