What makes something sound like it's a forced rhyme?

it does sound a bit forced. it sounds like you just added the last line so it would rhyme with water. inducing the fear of my slaughter sounds good, but doesn't really mean much. a forced rhyme might also sound like you had to change the line too much to make it work
