Is Secularism A Self-Destructive Ideology?

In the sense that it is open to exploitation by those groups (such as muslims) who exploit secularism for their unsecular agendas. What I am trying to say is that secularism inadvertently empowers those groups (such as Muslims) who seek the very destruction of secularism as an ideology.
