Is there a way to use technology to make resources abundant?

Technology can and should be used to recycle everything we are now dumping into landfill. Everything manufactured with some few exceptions eventually ends up in a landfill and if all that stuff was recycled into raw material very little new raw material would need to be dug out of the ground. We humans need to learn how to use technology for useful work like the elimination of landfills.
