Is Mexican American astronaut working for the interests of Mexico key issue for Mexico that has been stalled?

It would be better if this guy used his position to encourage people to do things the legal way. At this point he is using his position as a astronaut to be some kind of celebrity.I find it very interesting President Felipe Calderon has invited him to dinner at the presidential residence to talk about a future Mexican space agency.It would be better to see Mexico making some kind of effort to better the country , instead of building a space agency when they could be investing in their own communities.Fix their country first and than purpose a space agency
