We need an appraisal done, but floors are a mess..opinions please? Nice ones anyway?

We tore the carpet up and the hardwood needs redone. There is paint all over the floor, and we need to put more down as well in the kitchen where for some reason, it's missing..If we don't get that done by the appraisal time, what will they think? If we put down unfinished hard wood in the kitchen where it's missing, then tell them that we just did not have time to finish it up, will that fly?? Thoughts?
